- NO SPITTING- if you need to spit, tilt head to opposite side and allow saliva to flow out from side of the mouth.
- NO RINSING with water, hydrogen peroxide, or mouthwash after the extraction for one week.
- NO drinking with a straw.
- NO SMOKING
- NO ASPIRIN
- Change gauze every hour, after the extraction, until bleeding stops.
- Use warm water and salt rinses, the day after the extraction.
- Gently swish water around in the mouth
- Tilt head to opposite side, and allow water to flow out from the side of the mouth.
- Continue to rinse with warm water and salt until healing process begins
- If bleeding continues for a long period of time, place a teabag in the open area and down on it until bleeding stops.
- If any swelling occurs, place a cold ice pack against swollen face.
- Eat soft food and chew on the opposite side of the mouth, until the area has healed.
- When brushing teeth be careful brushing on the side with open area.
